My Blog

A place for me to show you my most recent work and all my crazy ideas. Check back often!

When I was asked by a dear friend to photograph a very important women in her life,  I was happy to get my camera back out after a restful period.  I was expecting to feel a little rusty and awkard after such a long pause but when I saw Kerry I was in love and couldn’t get enough of her.  She is a photo queen — the camera LOVES her and I was full of love for her too.  I am so honored and thankful to be a part of this documented day and if only my soul had the right words to say how meaningful this shoot was for me — and I believe also to all of these ladies.  You are beautiful in and out Kerry — thank you. xoxox

Quick Family Shoot in Mill Valley

I must say, I am into the quick shoots these days.  Is it ok to call them a “Quickie”?  Usually all I need is about 20/30 minutes to get the shot.  I work fast and with many years of experience, I know what works and what doesn’t.  Thank you for letting me come and getting these quick but beautiful photographs of your amazing family.  Lots of love you !  xoxo-RAH

squishy in seattle

Ohhhhh I love the rain!  I really do.  And the rain loves me.  This is our tradition, this family and I.  We shoot in the rain.  Two years ago we shot in the rain here in Marin and then when I went to photograph them last weekend, Seattle gave us a return on the wet.  It was super fun as always.  Squishing around Pike’s Market and a quick run on the Pier.  Loved every second.  Thank you for having me and enjoy the photogrpahs somewhere warm and dry!  xoxox

last but never least

I did it!  Whew!  I like that I am ending this insanely busy season with this family at this location.  It all seems perfect to me.  I love photographing this family, we always have so much fun.  They are the type of family that goes with my crazy ideas.  I have put them in the middle of the road, in trees, and now I really wanted to shoot this location.  It is the War Memorial in San Rafael.  It is a crazy cool building and feels very cinematic to me.  We did not discuss wardrobe, but come on… isn’t what the girls wearing so perfect for the space?!  Sometimes I get lucky — or should I say… I get lucky over and over and over again.  I am off to get some much deserved rest and Vitamin D on the Island of Anguilla.  I will see you in December.  I have one more session to shoot in Seattle that I am hyped about — do come check that out early next month.
